Income Opportunities Abound On The Internet

Saturday, July 28th, 2007 | Income Opportunities with 1 Comment

There are so many income opportunities available that it could be hard to choose one. Depending on how much work you want to get involved with, there are several related to the internet that can help provide income streams while most of the work is performed in the comfort of your own home.

Many seek out income opportunities, looking for a way to avoid the morning and afternoon transit to a job. Being able to work your own hours and establishing your own dress code are also attractive alternatives to working in someone else’s office.

The problem faced by Internet neophytes is their belief in anything that sounds too good to be true. They may believe that everything on the internet is accurate and everyone saying they can make big money quick must be telling the truth. Any may be able to make you money if you follow their program exactly, but most times following the program exactly will cost more money than you may be willing, or capable, of spending.

Advertising and marketing cost money. There is no question that for any business to be successful those are two necessary expenditures that a company must plan for if they hope to grow. Actually, just surviving will require a certain amount of advertising to realize enough business to keep them afloat.

Look carefully at every offer for income opportunities and, hidden as they may be, there will be clues as to its honestly. When a site claims that you can start making money within an hour of signing up, it is not telling the truth. Is it possible? Only by accident. Is it probable? You may have a better chance winning the lottery with a losing ticket.

There is money to be made on the internet, but many income opportunities fail to mention that you will need to market your site to gain visitors. You see, visitors are those pesky critters that may attack one site and ignore another. Without visitors, however no web site will last. Visitors determine your sales, which determines your profit, which determines your future.

Income opportunities involving Internet marketing, provided you know how this advertising method works, you could make decent money with this type business. Since websites are hoping to make money from website sales, targeting the web surfers is only logical. Although, attracting potential customers with off line ads can add to the customer base, allowing for a bigger cut of the market share.

When you have decided on a income opportunities, you should be prepared to spend the time and effort needed to bring your business out of infancy. Make a budget of time and money, promising to spend only to the limit and no more, and give yourself so many months to grow the business to profitability or find another way to make a living.

Free To Join Work At Home Program

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 | Earn Extra Income with 3 Comments

If you have been looking for an easy way to earn extra income why not make money on the things you are already buying? It can’t be any easier than that, earn a commission on the products you are already buying online.

My Power Mall (MPM), is a breath of fresh air for those who have been trying to work at home and have been put off by all the complicated MLM and Network Marketing programs found online.

MPM, has been 5 years in the making and is totally unique.

  • It’s not MLM.
  • It’s not .
  • It’s not Affiliate Marketing.
  • It simply doesn’t fit any standard business model that most people use to achieve financial freedom.

Our Founder & CEO, Ginny Dye, spent years working in the MLM industry as a leader and trainer. She walked away from it in 2002, discouraged by what she knew to be true - that 97% of the people who join an MLM will fail. She simply could no longer introduce a company to someone, knowing that most of them would fail. It bothered her too much to see people who were excited and committed to changing their lives fail because they were working within a system that was not created for them to truly succeed.

With the creation of MY POWER MALL, she knew she had a way to create success for anyone by simply harnessing the power of online spending. She had already spent almost five years creating a powerful computer system that she was using in other endeavors. MPM is simply an additional way of using her $500,000 system to help individuals create financial freedom.

MPM is a 9-Tier Shopping Rebate System.

  • It is completely FREE - with no cost to whoever wants to join MPM.
  • There is nothing to sell. Each member simply shops on the 1000+ stores on their own Power Mall, with shopping rebates paid through 9 Shopping Tiers on every purchase made from our millions of products.
  • There are none of the “Qualification Games” that make success so difficult to obtain in other business models.
  • There are no meetings or presentations to learn.
  • Every member can achieve significant financial income within the first 3-4 Shopping Tiers, with real wealth coming as it continues to grow.
  • The MPM Business Model is built on one main concept - KEEP IT SIMPLE!

People are invited to have their own FREE online Power Mall. All they do is shop and then invite others to have their own FREE Mall. As people shop for things they are going to buy anyway, everyone receives a % of the shopping rebates.

MPM has a primary principle that guides every decision Ginny makes. Everything has to be Win/Win. It’s only a good decision if it is good for everyone it impacts. MPM went through several different versions before Ginny was convinced she had created the model that would ensure success for everyone.

This an easy and free to join work at home program, that really isn’t work! Find out more here at the Power Mall

Hiding Affiliate Links Redirecting Affiliate Marketing Links

Saturday, July 21st, 2007 | Affiliate Marketing with 4 Comments

There are several reasons in affiliate marketing to hide your affiliate links. The main reason is many people are less inclined to click on a big long ugly link. There are different ways to accomplish it and this guide will show several ways to accomplish it, assuming you have your own website to create the needed files.

The first example is a simple redirect page. To do this copy the below HTML code and paste it into Notepad or your favorite text editor. Change the information in the highlighted areas as follows: Change the title of the page to reflect the name of the destination page or site. Then change the two URL’s to the actual destination of where you wish the page to point.

Create a new web page on your site and name it whatever you want. An example would be money.html. In this case you would show www.mysite.com/money.html as the link but the destination would be the URL you placed inside the money.html page. Paste in the modified HTML code with the new title and destination URL’s, and save.

<html><head>

<title>Give The Page A Title Here</title>

<meta http-equiv=”refresh” content=”0; URL=http://www.Destination.com“><meta name=”keywords” content=”automatic redirection”></head><body>

If your browser doesn’t automatically go there within a few seconds, you may want to go to

<a href=” http://www.Destination.com“>Click Here</a> manually. </body>

</html>

Now test your new redirect and you will see a brief transition page and should land on the correct destination URL. The downside to this type of redirect is that the visitor will know, by the transition page, that they are getting redirected and also will see the actual destination URL in their browser’s address bar. If you don’t like the results of this redirect method then you may want to use a Frame page.

Creating a Frame page is very similar to the above method but it just has a little more HTML code in the page. The advantage to this method is the actual destination page will show immediately in the browser, with to transition, and the your URL will continue to show in the address bar. This is especially effective when promoting affiliate products like those from ClickBank.

To create a Frame page copy the below code and change the highlighted information with your own. Obviously with the URL being the most important part. Create a new web page on your site and call it whatever you want like in the above example. To test your affiliate link, click the buy button or whatever next action called for on the page and see if it takes you to the correct page.

</script>
<html><head>
<script language=”JavaScript”>
<!–

function SymError()
{
return true;
}

window.onerror = SymError;

var SymRealWinOpen = window.open;

function SymWinOpen(url, name, attributes)
{
return (new Object());
}

window.open = SymWinOpen;

//–>
</script>

<script>window.status = ‘ ‘;</script><meta http-equiv=”Content-Language” content=”en-us”>

<title>Destination Title</title>
<meta name=” Destination Name ” content>
<meta name=” Destination Name ” content>

</head><frameset border=”0″ frameborder=”0″ marginleft=”0″ margintop=”0″ marginright=”0″ marginbottom=”0″ rows=”100%,*”>

<frame src=”http://www.destinationURL” scrolling=”auto”

frameborder=”no” border=”0″ noresize><frame topmargin=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ scrolling=”no” marginheight=”0″ frameborder=”no” border=”0″ noresize><noframes><body></body></noframes></frameset></html>
<script language=”JavaScript”><!–
var SymRealOnLoad;
var SymRealOnUnload;

function SymOnUnload()
{
window.open = SymWinOpen;
if(SymRealOnUnload != null)
SymRealOnUnload();
}

function SymOnLoad()
{
if(SymRealOnLoad != null)
SymRealOnLoad();
window.open = SymRealWinOpen;
SymRealOnUnload = window.onunload;
window.onunload = SymOnUnload;
}

SymRealOnLoad = window.onload;
window.onload = SymOnLoad;

//–>
</script>

One more refinement can be made in either case discussed above and that is to place your redirect page into its own directory. Done correctly it will reduce the URL from www.mysite.com/money.html to www.mysite.com/money, knocking off the trailing html.

To do that create a new directory, or folder, on your site, in this example money, then when creating your new redirect page within the directory call it index.html. This will be the main page within the new directory or folder. It is very important that you don’t create a new index.html within your main website.

Now you can advertise all your affiliate links using links from your own website.

How To Edit A Webpage With Nvu

Saturday, July 14th, 2007 | Website Promotion with 11 Comments

This question comes up very often on various online forums “How can I add a link or banner to my web site?” For those new to website promotion, looking at all that HTML code can be very confusing and overwhelming. This is a quick guide showing how to to edit an existing web page using the free wed editor Nvu.

First download Nvu here, and open the program. Then login to your hosting account open the file of the page you want to edit, copy the HTML code, open Notepad on your computer and paste the code into it. Save this text file as a backup somewhere on your computer.

Next go back to your hosting account create a new file and call it something similar to the page you are editing: if is the index.html file call it indexbackup.html or index071407.html (the date). paste the code into the new file and save it.

Nvu and other editors have different views, usually on the bottom left side, one is a WYSIWYG editor for creating and editing a web page in a visual mode. Another is a “Source” or “Code” editor for creating or editing the actual HTML code. SInce you copied HTML code you need to make sure you click the “Source” or “Code” tab, delete anything that is in there and paste in the HTML code. It is very important that you paste the source HTML code into the Source editor!

After you paste the HTML code into Nvu you can now click the Normal tab and see what looks like a regular website. Here is where you can make your changes and additions. Click the Preview tab to look at the changes in what would be a normal web browser view.

After making your changes click the Source tab again, copy all the HTML code, go back to your hosting account, open the page you are working on, select all the code in it, delete it and paste the new code from Nvu in. Save your file and marvel at your handy work!

Online Business Ethics

Thursday, July 12th, 2007 | Online Business with No Comments »

Entireweb Weekly Newsletter
Online Business Ethics

Very simple: Be a source of integrity. Don’t be phony, people will know and not come to visit your site again. Even worse, they will post a bad review somewhere on the web and others will not even come to see for themselves. If you don’t know about something, don’t pretend that you do.

Respect your customers, or prospective customers, and offer them something of value. Give good information that will draw your customers’ attention and this will help to build trust. It also gives them a reason to stay or come back again for more. Follow-up with your customers, but don’t be a pest. Basically, don’t spam, don’t steal, and don’t lie.

Just as in an offline business, there are ethics and standards that should be followed. If you are starting an online business, you’ve probably spent some time online already and can see that there are hundreds of thousands of businesses trying to sell their products and information and services to you. Study how they do it. Spend some time visiting the websites of your competitors, much like you would when preparing a business plan for an offline business. Look for and evaluate the following characteristics to determine the integrity of the business as a whole:

What are they selling?

When you first come to their index page, can you quickly and easily figure out what they are selling? Is it a real product, an information product, a membership or a service? Do they offer something of real value right off the bat for free such as informative content or a related ebook? If you cannot determine within the first 30 seconds what they are selling or why they are in business, chances are that they are just a hodgepodge of links put together to make the owner affiliate revenue. However, if you do see something of value, stay a bit longer and evaluate further.

Can you contact them directly?

Look on the main page. Contact information could be in the top nav bar, on the side nav bar or at the bottom of the page. Also, look for a direct link such as Contact Us. Click this link and see where it takes you. Do they provide a physical address, a contact name or email, and a phone number? These three things are a must for a legitimate business. If an owner is not confident in his business enough to put an address and contact phone number on his site, he must be hiding something. The final test is to send an email to the company and see who responds and how long it takes to get a response. Most one-person web businesses should be able to answer your email within 1-2 business days.

Is the content valuable and correct?

One of my biggest pet peeves is spelling and grammar. If the owner has done his research and knows what he is talking about, this should show in the quality of the information on his site. A professional image depends on attention to details. Presentation is everything. If you are going to put out information, it has to be presented in an organized fashion with no mistakes. When I see more than one misspelled word or grammar mistake on a website or page, I move on. If the owner has not proofread his own material or verified the information on his site is correct and presented professionally, I won’t be trusting that his products are much higher in quality.

Is there a free trial or guarantee on the products and services being offered?

Those businesses that have developed a quality product or service and are confident in it will not hesitate to put a guarantee on it. They will stand behind it 100%. Even better are those companies that let you try the product or service for free. This way you can test it out to see if it is indeed what you need and meets the quality standards of a legitimate business.

How do they advertise?

Look at the other links on the website. Visit some of them to see the quality of partners associated with the first business. Do the links take you somewhere valuable and helpful? Is the business partnered with other legitimate businesses? Also, how did you find out about the website in the first place and what in their ad drew you in? Did the ad lie to you? Make sure that when you advertise that you don’t misrepresent what you are offering. In addition, don’t be a spammer. Make sure to develop a double opt-in email list that you can use to send valuable follow up information to your customers. This will help to build loyalty as well as word of mouth referrals.

Visit forums and pay-per-click sites to see the companies who are advertising the same products and services that you are to find out what promotion methods they are using. Use them as a starting point and try to set your standards of quality and honesty a step above when developing your ads.

The bottom line is, there is good karma and bad. Even though we all know those people in life whose bad karma hasn’t caught up with them yet, don’t join the crowd. Be a leader, be a source of integrity, and provide a quality product or service that you can stand behind. In the long run, this will help you build a profitable, long-standing business rather than a fly-by-night get rich quick scheme.

Home Based Business Ideas

Thursday, July 5th, 2007 | Home Based Business with No Comments »

In order to be successful with a home based business you will have to be innovative and in order for that to happen, your approach will have to innovative as well. There are many websites out there offering income opportunities for a , and while many be be good, the tried and true opportunities may be reaching their peak.

Carefully review your knowledge and abilities and determine what you do well and how it can be turned into a . Whether it will be strictly an online business or one, which is based from your home but you travel to meet with clients, your abilities will have to shine through any other aspect of running the home business.

For example, you are really good with your video camera, and have the technical knowledge, you could start a home business producing video podcasts for businesses. While most businesses will be really good at what they do, unless they are a video production studio, they may not have the knowledge to produce a video about their business or a new product. With the continued growth of video in advertising, opening a business’s website with a promotional video can bring them added attention and being able to produce that video can bring you big business.

The company may not have the financial resources to hire one of the large production companies, but if you have taken and edited videos of weddings, which turned out well, it is one home business in a growing field you may want to consider.

In your spare time you may want to become an expert on internet marketing. Once you believe you know more than most businesses, open a home business offering internet marketing for websites. Most service-related companies will rely on internet marketing as most do not have a website, but those that do are always looking for ways to boost their internet presence.

If you are good at building websites, you might want to contact some of the service businesses. While a website may not produce any sales as a direct result, their internet presence that offer some company information could be used to let potential customers learn about the business and the owner before paying them a visit or making a call.

If you enjoy working in your wood shop in the basement, you should consider making some small crafts and selling them at flea markets and craft fairs. If you make special projects, have one display with signs indicating you take special orders. Be sure to have plenty of business cards to hand out. Cards can also be a niche for a home based business. Connect with a local printer who can take your ideas and produce economical business cards and sell them to other vendors at the craft shows that you attend.

The possibilities are endless for a home based business utilizing the Internet and some imagination.
