I have a site where I have the Blog in a sub folder as you suggest and that works quite well. I have recently added a page which is a greatest hits of the blog so that the spiders can go from my main page to various blog pages but I must admit that I had actually forgotten to include internal site links from some of my articles to some of the posts. Why I had forgotten escapes me as I had done this on one of my other sites and consequently I got myself a decent PR rating quite quickly. Actually Jeff you’re article is fine.
