Installing WordPress and making posts isn't all that difficult, what takes time is learning what plugins to use and how to use WordPress for optimal results and traffic generation.

s are used to extend the functionality of a . If there is something you want to do, chances are there is a plugin for it. Most plugins are free to download and use. An extensive list of plugins can be found at:

The difference between an installed plugin and an activated plugin is that an installed plugin has only been uploaded to your blog directory on your websites hosting account. It is installed and available for use but needs to be activated before it can be used or provide its functionality. Below is a list of all the WordPress plugins that I personally install and activate on all new blogs I setup for my Blog Builder Service.

I will also configure as many of these as I possibly can as part of the service. Some of the plugins will need a more personal touch by the individual blogger themselves. In this case I will personally help you with the final touches.

If I setup your blog most of these will already be configured and you will also have a few more optional plugins installed but not activated.

  • Adsense-Deluxe - Place Google AdSense ads in your WordPress posts.
  • Adsense-Deluxe+ Widget - Place Google AdSense ads as a widget. Requires AdSense-Deluxe Plugin. I don't use this, as you can see all my AdSense is within the post.
  • Akismet - Akismet is one of the default plugins, it checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.”
  • All in One SEO Pack - Out-of-the-box SEO for your Wordpress blog.
  • FeedBurner Feed Replacement - Forwards all feed traffic to FeedBurner while letting through some important User-Agents.
  • Google (XML) Sitemaps - This generator will create a sitemaps.org compliant sitemap of your WordPress blog, which are supported By Google, MSN Search and YAHOO.
  • Gregarious - The ultimate social bookmarking plugin.
  • MyBlogLog Widget - Adds MyBlogLog widget to your blog.
  • Smart Update Pinger - Replaces the built-in ping/notify functionality. Pings only when publishing new posts, not when editing.
  • Social Bookmarks - Social Bookmarks adds a list of XHTML compliant graphic links at the end of your posts that allow your visitors to easily submit them to a number of social bookmarking sites.
  • Subscribe To Comments - Allows readers to receive notifications of new comments that are posted to an entry.
  • Tagalize It - Create tagged text by enclosing the text to be tagged in one of the following. [TAG-Tec] [Tag-Ice] and [Tag-self].
  • Ultimate Tag Warrior - Ultimate Tag Warrior is a tagging plugin, that’s heavy on tag visualization.
  • What Would Seth Godin Do - Displays a custom welcome message to new visitors.
  • WordPress.com Stats - Tracks views, post/page views, referrers, and clicks. Requires a WordPress.com API key.
  • WordPress Database Backup - On-demand backup of your WordPress database.

Well not all of these are for SEO and Web 2.0 but still useful.

    Hey everyone,

I found a website that is used for targeted email marketing. It is not spam it is optin email users. They even have a quarantee of 50% of mails they send will bring traffic to your site and you can track it. It is a very good reputable company that is used by a lot of marketing firms. The best part is you can try them out for only like $13 for a set of 100 emails before you have to buy anymore! I use it for my website and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to generate some sales and traffic to a website. The emails are even targeted at the market you chose. Check it out:

Link deleted by Admin because this is a perfect example of comment spam, nice try there “Steve” but why not try legitimate marketing tactics and actually contribute something of value to the Internet?
